Taos Feral Feline Friends has a limited number of cats ready for adoption. Interested adopters should call 575-758-3519 to check availability.

 

All of our cats are fixed, up-to-date on vaccinations and have been screened for FELV/FIV.  Adoption fees are non-refundable.

 

Adoption Viewing Hours: By appointment only Mon. - Sat.   Closed Sundays and Holidays.

  

 

Shelter Admittance Policy

 

Effective 1/1/2022, the TFFF shelter will begin operating as a sanctuary. Unless previously approved, cats will not be accepted into the shelter. The majority of current residents will be granted "sanctuary cat" status and will not be offered for adoption. As a true no-kill sanctuary, all TFFF cats benefit from our Life-Time Guarantee they will have a safe home with us or at a new, permanent adoptive home...  for as long as they live!

 

 

Trap, Neuter, and Return

We offer feral cat Trap, Neuter, and Return services for free to residents in the Taos area.

Currently, all residents of Taos County and the Enchanted Circle are eligible for this program. Please check our "TNR Program" page for more information.

Taking in a stray cat is a truly kind act, but there are risks. We are here to help the process go safely and smoothly with free spay/neuter, all vet-recommended vaccinations and FELV/FIV disease testing. Low Income Cat Caregiver Assistance


If your household annual income is below $50,000, we offer free cat food and veterinary expense reimbursement for anyone in Taos County caring for feral cats. The same benefits are also available on a limited basis for any low income cat caregiver who, due to injury, illness, disability or loss of employment, is unable to afford cat food or veterinary care.
